Know all things to be this way

Like a star, an aberration or a flame, like a magical illusion.

Like a dewdrop, a waterbubble or a dream, lightning or a cloud.

Know all things to be this way.

 

These are the words of the Buddha. (I used Erik Pema Kunsangs translation from “Jewels of Enlightenment” ). The examples remind us of the impermanent and illusory nature of things. I felt inspired to sing these words, in an attempt to let this wisdom sink deeper into my heart.
